The third installment in The Witcher series will have more than one playable character, CD Projekt Red announced at The Game Awards.
Although the returning hero Geralt of Rivera was shown during the newest trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the studio also announced players will have another option this time around. However, it's unclear who the second character will be –– Geralt mentions a woman who has "Elder blood" in her veins, and the trailer shows a white-haired woman running through a forest. A second woman supplements Geralt's narrative with her own, while the trailer's last seconds show another man fighting alongside Geralt.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases Feb. 24, 2015 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned to IGN for more news regarding the open-world RPG's new playable character.
